Transform Your Fitness at Home with Christine Kirkland Pilates

For years, I tried every workout you can imagine. HIIT, bootcamps, heavy weights, endless cardio. And every time, I walked away feeling the same way: tired, sore, and done with exercise that felt like punishment.

Becoming a mom didn’t help. My energy bottomed out, my joints started complaining, and the workouts that used to work just didn’t anymore. I still wanted to be strong. I also wanted to feel good in my body and stop dreading my workouts.

That’s what led me to Pilates, and eventually to teaching it in a way that fits real life.

Here’s What I Believe

You don’t have to sweat harder, push further or burn more to get results.

I’d rather you move with care, build strength steadily, and keep doing the things you love for years to come. That’s how I teach, and it’s how I practise too.

Strength That Feels Good — Not Gruelling

Pilates is kind to your joints, and it’s still a real workout. You don’t need fancy equipment, and you don’t need to leave every class wiped out.

What I see in my members is that they feel stronger, steadier and more coordinated. Mostly, they keep showing up, because it feels good. That consistency is what makes the difference.

My 3-Step Method

Every class I teach follows the same three steps:

  1. Realign. We ease tight spots and get your body lined up well.

  2. Stabilize. We build control through your core and the muscles that keep you steady.

  3. Strengthen. Once that foundation is there, we add strength.

I teach it in this order because strength works better when it’s built on a body that moves well. If you skip straight to strength, that’s often when things start to ache.

Who This Actually Helps

You’re in the right place if:

  • workouts used to feel doable and now they don’t

  • your joints talk back when you push too hard

  • you want to get stronger without the exercise feeling like punishment

  • you want energy that lasts, not energy that crashes

  • you want movement that supports your life instead of another thing you dread

What You Can Expect

In my classes, we focus on:

  • strength you notice in how you move all day

  • balance and posture that help you feel confident

  • mobility so you can twist, bend and reach more comfortably

  • showing up regularly, not going all out

This isn’t “easy Pilates.” It’s Pilates with a purpose, and it meets you where you are.

You Don’t Need Anything Fancy

All you need is a mat and a little space. No machines, no pressure.
